When I used to drive to chico from sacramento daily, these guys would be crop dusting every morning... Good photo, they get REAL close... wonder if anyone has ever crashed while looking at them?

We have a family friend that flies crop dusters...

He had a crash a year or so ago resulting from a farm hand errecting a 20' pole at the end of a field... The pilot, our friend didn't see the pole, and it wasn't there before... He crashed obviously.... Insurance is very difficult to carry as a crop duster pilot...

After about a year of recovery, he's back flying.

so, yes, if he hit a 20' pole, they do fly low to the ground...

The pass looks like the one north of Mesquite, NV, enroute to St. George, Utah. Can't see the lake, so no idea where it is.

That's what I was gonna say.

Virgin River Gorge on I-15 in the NW corner of AZ.
