While browsing, I came across the above named report that I thought might be of interest to you independent reefer owners who follow the harvests for loads.
I believe it is a USDA weekly report, that can be accessed from various websites. It gives the status of reefer truck availibility and representitave truckload rates from various areas of the country to eight destination cities from each region covered.
Many of you may already have this info due to your experience but newbie O/Os may find it helpful for making load destination decisions based on reload availibility.
CaboverPete comes to mind because the report mentions a shortage of trucks in Maine and Lon Gisland for potatos, and North carolina for sweet potatos.
Just "Google" the title as I have posted it and you will have several sites (agricultural related) to select from. I hope this will be useful to someone.
