Thank you, i´ve found a lot of interesting posts allready.

Short description of me:
I´m a 23 yo carpenter from Helsinki, Finland(Northern Europe). Currently I work as a carpenter in my own small business.(Now your asking yourself, what in the world is he doing on a truckers forum?) :wtf:
Well I´ve been a truck freak eversince I first saw a picture of those american beautys when I was 10 or something. The European trucks never really interested me(neither did the industry here) but the US trucking industry is another story :lover:
Been reading and studying the American trucking industry for about 7-8 years now and I just seem to like it more and more everyday. ;) Now that things had settled down in my life and the financial situation is stable I´ve started to play with the idea in my head about taking the challenge of actually moving there(to the US of A) for a year or two JUST to see/feel/hear how it actually is to be a trucker there. I´ve found a lot of help on these forums and that´s why I keep coming back to em everyday. :type: I´ve even read threw the CDL Manual about 50 times and been doing tests online with great scores :)
hmmmm, I think I better stop now.........OMG my keyboard is on fire.....I´ll be back :cheers:

Welcome JSontag, glad you found us!! I'm not sure about your dream to drive truck, I have 2 sons that are carpenters, one is an apprentice and the other is journeyman, and my oldest son is a journeyman electrician, all of them union. I would trade my pay for theirs in a HEARTBEAT!!!!

Well it´s not the pay, it´s the JOB. Just want to do it even if I only get paid half of what I´m used too! :)
I don´t have debts or loans to pay off so it really doesn´t matter if my salary drops a little. Ofcourse it´s nice to have extra cash but then again I think it would be nice to do a job that you really really want and like! ;) ;) ;) Money is NOT everything in this world, I´m not old but I´m young enough to know it..........Does money make you happy? NO (Well ofcourse I would rather cry in a Bentley then a public bus but..... :harhar: :harhar: )

Anyways my point is that i can get along with less. I haven´t heard that any truckers here would be starving, have you? :D :D :D
