I set up my new computer last night and like a dip wad, I didn't download all my anti anti ware befor using it. :yikes: :wtf:
Well, you guessed it I gots a bug. The bug is "malware"
I have deleted everything from my remove programs, downloaded and run all my Lavasoft, Yahoo anti virus, have installed the McAfee that came with the puter :type: and I STILL  get this fricken message on the bottom right tool bar Telling me my computer is infected with "malware" :wtf:
When I click on the message box to remove it or close it my address bar changes to spyaxe.net and gives me this bs dowload this download that. :yikes:
I'm outa options, any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Matter of fact I will pay for one years membership to OOIDA for the one to remidy the problem first. Post date on the TSUSA board will determine whos first.
Thanks in advance!

Yeppers, you got zonked......
I don't have alot of time since I am in the process of moving but I searched google and came across this. (searched under spyaxe.net) * Find web pages that are similar to spyaxe.net
* Find web pages that link to spyaxe.net
* Find web pages from the site spyaxe.net
* Find web pages that contain the term "spyaxe.net"
And under the last one, I found several links to remove spyaxe.net from your computer.
Unfortuantely I don't have time to investigate any of them and recommend any of them to you.
I would also run the online (free) scan that Trend Micro has called 'Housecall'. It is primarily for viruses and such but is also effective against some malware.
You could also run a program called 'hijackthis' and it would tell you all the files that could be infected.....but take care, it also tells you some needed files also so don't indiscriminately delete any registry items.
note: If you were to check my profile, you would find I list a personal web site that is loaded with free programs that are available to help with situations similar to this. They are under 'Adware and Malware' section.

(it would help if I could give you the links, but TPTB say not to post any links.....so)

I would vote for Trend Micro' website also. You go to www.TrendMicro.com, and look for "Free online scan. Follow the simple directions on the screen. Don't be afraid of downloading the program, and letting it run. Since you already got one bug, you might be a little learry of letting any site install a small program, but I assure you the site is a well respected and trusted site.
While there, you might consider their virus scanning software also. It gets great reviews from all my programmer friends.

After downloading all kinds of "stuff" I got it gone. The daughter, 16, came and admitted to going to a "friends" website and things started acting up so she just turned it off and left it. Gee thanks kid! :bop:
Do appreciate the help!

There's many times an anti-virus program will find and delete an infected file only to see it reappear after a reboot.
In cases like this, you can be pretty sure the bad program has nested itself in your system restore folder.
The System Restore folder is protected so most anti-virus scans don't look in there.
If you think the restore folder is harbouring a "nasty", turn it off.
Turning it off deletes all the restore points collected to that time plus anything that might be hiding in there.
Once you get the machine to reboot without the problem turn System restore back on..if you want.
Then just make sure all your antivirus stuff is on & updated regularly.
