OK folks! I am home!! And let me tell ya, if I ever hit the lottery, ya'll just hit hiway 1 and go south til ya can't go no more and there I'll be! The water is the prettiest aqua blue you have ever seen. The people ride mopeds all over. ANd the whole darn place is just, in a word................AWESOME!
We made the final drop at Home Depot there in Key West and since you can't make a left turn out of the parking lot we went south. Mistake #1. In short order we found ourselves in a Freightliner on a skinny one way residential street right smack dab in the middle of the "Hood"!!! Not to worry tho', these folks had seen this before, or so they told us. Just make a right on this street and then back up and come back out this way. Frances, my all-knowing sister proceeds to go on up the street after we made the right. Mistake #2. There ain't now way to make another right at the end of that street with a 53' trailer. So, we did the only thing we could do........................ we backed up all 5 blocks to the street we came down. Those guys we talked to at the corner had gotten all of the vehicles moved off the streets while we were gone cuz they knew those two crazy redheaded white ladies in that big truck would be back in a lil while. And they were right. At any rate we managed to make the turn and didn't hit nuttin. We did take out a few small limbs on the trees tho'.
I did take pictures and will be getting them developed tomorrow and I'll post some of them so ya'll can see where we went. We didn't get either one of us in any of them but they will still be good pics anyway.
