"Weird Family" stories

Ok, you know we all have some.... something someone did... or people who are family that you wouldn't believe are still family....

Mine is...


I am still family with my former in laws.

They call me their daughter and Roger is their son in law. I married my ex almost 15 yrs ago, and became very close to his family. When he and I separated, he had moved to Colorado, and has been there ever since.

Since his parents live here, as does his sister, and his brother did, I remained close to them.

I am still as much a part of their family as I ever was.
When his brother was killed 3 years ago, his dad made them list me as his sister in the obituary.
We have continued a close relationship throughout the years, which has been a big blessing to us all.

My ex is now married again, and while I don't harbor bad feelings toward him for the most part, he has little to do with his family. His wife made the mistake of trying to tell his dad what she thought he should do. Dad wasn't impressed! LOL
She was tempted to tell them they had to choose between her and I... but Dad quickly said that was a choice she didn't want to hear him make, as she wuold not be happy with the results!

It's nice to be able to introduce the as my other parents, and my sister in law is my sister in every sence of the word... the 'in law' part never really did apply to any of us.

Some of them are the 'snobby' type. One time a couple years ago one of them asked me what I was doing (for a job). I told him that I took up piano playing in a Brothel. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

He hasn't said 'Boo' to me since. I like that! :cheers: :cool:

My family is pretty small so we really don't have a whole lot of weird stories. :noclue:

My ex's family (was married to my ex for 14 years) now that's some stories, they are different... To this day a few of my ex's brothers and sister like me better than him.. :yikes:

Funny how that works sometimes isn't? Ex's may be questionable material and their families are great, who probably see that too.. :)
