Wish I could recover in Colorado at my property. It's on top of a mesa on the eastern edge of the San Luis Valley just outside Fort Garland and just 3/4 of a mile as the crow flies from the intersection of US-160 and CO-159. Here is a pic from the property looking out at Blanca peek and the valley below.

Just west of Walsenburg is the great little town of La Veta. My wife and I enjoyed a visit there a couple of years ago. There is a general store there that has eveything including an ice cream parlor serving single dip cones for 50 cents and one dollar for doubles.

We also enjoy the oldest town in Colorado, San Luis, which is 12 minutes south of our property and Taos, NM which is an hour south of us. The Great Sand Dunes National Park is only 15-20 minutes away.

Someday we will retire out there and build a hacienda.
