I parked over at Truck World in Hubbard, Ohio last night and went inside to have dinner & a few beers before going to bed for the night.

When I was walking toward my truck I noticed a puddle of fuel under the engine. I thought the fuel filters may have loosened up, so I tried to tighten them- they were OK.

I called my company's Road Maintenance Department & they called the T/A in Youngstown, OH to come out & look at it- the service truck was there in 15 minutes.

Their mechanic also tried to tighten the filters, and then noticed where some fuel lines had rubbed together near a fuel filter, and rubbed a hole in one of them, causing the leak.

He had both the lines my truck needed with him in the service truck, and changed them out in very little time.

That's what I call "Git'n 'Er Dun"!

I'm sure it was a slow night for that particular T/A shop, but most of them NEVER respond that fast when called.

Much less haveing stuff to fix anything near what you describe as your problem. How many road services you think woulda had the hoses on board?

I hear the advertisement all the time for T/A road service, maybe they really are gonna step it up.

As a soon to be ex truck shop owner I have to say it's good to hear someone saying something positive about a road service provider for a change.

Glad they got you fixed up Capt.Chaos

Wouldn't want you to have any problems this close to MATS :) :) :)

Yeah, and I'm sure the fuel would be less harmful to the environment than "beer whiz" would be.

It was pretty disheartening to start the truck and se fuel spraying out of the fuel line.

I was prompted to start it when I saw the puddle & knew it wasn't water. Besides, it was cold that night & I needed heat. I killed it whn I saw the fuel leak & didn't start it back up until it was fixed.
