it's a Bypass system. works in addition to your regular oil filters. most filters clean down to 10 or 20 microns. this cleans down to somewhere around 2 microns. goes for about $500. they believe in the premise that oil does not break down, it just gets dirty from contaminents. I have seen two in operation. the oil was just as clean as when it was put in.

Call them up and get the video. They tear this motor down every so often to check it and it's still looking good at around 1,000,000 miles, I believe.

Talked to Jerry at Gold coast filters today

The cost for the O-2 housing, 1 case of filters (6), 3 oil sample kits, and shipping and handling is $787.90

Installation kit includes that includes the fittings and 35' of Aeroquip hose oil pressure hose and is engine specific is an additional $180.00

Total cost for them to supply everything needed for installation is $967.90

Hope this helps

Thanks Dave, I just cannot justify the cost over my trucks, I like to see NEW oil in the motor, it has worked all these years and I am kinda set on my ways!

For a fleet owner that is going to replace the trucks at 500K miles, it may not be that big of a savings since you still need to get it into the shop every 15K or so for inspection and grease.

For an O/O looking to go to one million, it's probably worth five times that price (or more). There are similar systems out there that are not so pricey, and one that installs in place of the regular filter (a two-in-one deal) but I dunno the cost on that one.

Bottom line, dirt and soot wears out an engine, even with regular oil and regular filter changes.
