Rickbrk, just keep in mind to not allow yourself to be nervous when doing the road test. Remain calm, & remind yourself that the DPS trooper riding in the jump seat is just another human being lke the rest of us. He/she isn't (shouldn't) be trying to fail you- they should examine your newly acquired skills & see how safe you will be out there on the road.

Was going to mention, once you get your CDL & your training is done & if you're interested The Sygma Network there at home is hiring new drivers. They have good pay & awesome benefits too.

www.sygmanetwork.com and click on "jobs at Sygma".

You may start off there driving a yard mule & putting trailers into & out of docks to get a feel for maneuvering them around, then be trained for route deliveries after a few months. Yard hostling is one of the best ways to learn at first.

If you want to go OTR & you're coming out of a PTDI-certified driving school, contact me about working for Crete.
