I am returning to the industry after 17 years and need to know which atlas to buy, and any other helpful info you may have. Thanks in advance. Handymam-

Rand Mcnally has one for truckers. There is has also has quite a few changes in 17 years. Don't be surprised if you have to go to a school of some sort. This is mainly a insurance thing. Trucks are probalby better than 17 years ago as well.

Rand McNally Motor Carrier Atlas is probably the best one.
You can usually find them cheaper at Truck Stops than you can online or at bookstores.

HM don't be surprised if you get assigned to a COE at first. Also unless they've changed solo drivers will work regional.

Actually, that'd be pretty cool. I used to drive an IH COE, and regional would work for me.Thanks so much for your help!

I cant speak for the rest of the country but its been awhile since I have seen a COE Pumpkin in the D/FW area.
A woreout Century is probably more the norm these days.

Guv I see quite a few retired Pumpkin trucks (both COE's and Freightshakers) do the container thing. I live near a NAFTA route and within 130 miles of the Long Beach port and several major railheads.
