I run a reffer so ask anything ya want
most of the time it's like another piece of mechanical equpement
check fluids daily, make sure the charging system is working.
most customers like a clean floor so washout's are a must( usually you can get buy with a sweeping , unless there's blood on the floor,
just remember that the cases arn't all that strong so no sharp turns and curbing or you might have a mess at your destonation.

again feel free to ask me anything abut reffers :yikes: :chase:

Because they run for cheapskate carriers who don't pay them enough to buy earplugs
A reefer's not too bad if it's running constantly, it's when it keeps shutting down and starting up that annoyes me...

The newer TK SB400 whisper units we have are so quiet that you can hardly tell they are running. We still have a few older Carrier and non-whisper TK's left and wow, are they loud! You've got to turn the volume on the TV way up when they start.

I always try to park next to another reefer or by myself when possible. That way if a some reefer hater parks next to me, it was their choice.

I gota agree with ya there. I try to park next to other reffers so I don't upset the whine azzs (no offence dave :chase: )but with this whisper one ya hardly hear it( I find myself checking it more often to make sure it working  ) oh btw an investment in a plup thermometer(perferably digital) Is a good move

A lot of reefer runners I know buy those laser thermometers. Way cool. You can check the temp at the other end of the truck while standing outside. Very handy when it's set at -lots...

I have NEVER complained about a reefer parking next to my skateboard. It doesn't bother me at all. Of course, I spent some years working on offshore supply boats and if you have ever heard a bow thruster fire up to maneuver one of those things, a reefer is small change compared. BTW........... when I die I am going straight to Heaven. I've already spent my time in Hell pulling a reefer. LOL If I never see another grocery warehouse I'll be a happy camper.

I avoid reefers like the plauge..
