If you ever or thought about using a broker to find loads, what would you want out of them to make you happy?

One that doesn't lie and is right up front
Breaks down the load by
linehaul
fuel surcharge
stop pay
Lumpers
Doesn't send you to all the crap holes on the East coast.
No early morning app'ts. 2,3,or 4 am. Hate them early appt's.
I think most of all willing to work with the driver and be realistic about driving time available etc.
What am I thinking that just sounds to reasonable. But being the good female that I am I could ask for more :p :harhar:
OK guys its your turn.

#1 One thats not lieing when there mouth is moving
#2 Has a realistic idea of what cost are ivolved in moving load
#3 Pays his carriers in 30 days or less
#4 has good comunication with all involved in shipment
#5 Looks at all hauls as a head haul
#6 work with the truckers not just the shippers and consignee's
#7 Does not have unrealistic delivery times
And I could go on and on, being in the industry for 40 years and pulling a reefer Ive seen them all,and most of them today are not what I would call good. So if you run across the one that meets this discription please let us all know who they are and what lanes they service .

Brokers are nothing more than a necessary evil as shippers only have to make one call instead of phoning around to get a truck on their own.
Start a Owner Operators Co-op and have your own Dispatcher take all the incoming calls and load bookings.

Exellent idea, but you have been around long enough to know that you can't get 2 o/os to agree on the color of the sky let alone starting a co-op.
Hell truckers are there own worst evils ( enemies ), you don't even have to bring brokers in to the equasion.
